The Seahawks came close to breaking the shutout in the top of the fourth inning when senior

In the second game of the day, the College of Charleston jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the top of the second inning, producing a lead which the Seahawks would be unable to recover from. The remainder C of C's runs were tallied in the top of the seventh.
With one out in the bottom of the fourth, junior
Emily Pierce (Phoenix, AZ / Desert Vista) broke the shutout with a RBI double down the left field line, scoring freshman
Erin Cuevas (Westminster, CA / Huntington Beach), who also reached on a double to left. Eshelman followed with a single to center field, advancing Pierce to third. Peirce would score on a wild pitch by C of C's Terri Mesko, cutting the Cougars lead to 7-2. However, Mesko would retire the Green & White without allowing another run score.
Toeing the rubber for the Seahawks in the contest were Eshelman, senior
Danielle Wagoner (Temecula, CA / Temecula Valley) and Garcia. Eshelman earned the start, tossing 1.1 innings of action before being replaced by Wagoner, who threw for 4.2 innings. Eshelman allowed only one earned run out of the four scored against her while Wagoner accounted for the remaining five. Finishing the game for the Green & White was Garcia.
