San Diego, CAThe Seahawks continued play at the Aztec Inviational falling to Lon Beach St by a final of 5-2 in the first of two games today. Wagner (0-3) will also face Loyola Marymount later on this evening at 9:00 pm.

LBSU capitalized on two walk and an error as they plated three unearned runs on just two hits in the bottom of the first inning. Wagner then scored thier first runs of the season as they trailed 3-2 after one and a half innings of play. Sophomore Ami Iwicki (Flemington, NJ / Hunterdon Central) lined a two run single to center scoring sophomore Margaret Gallia (Las Vegas, NV / Community College HS) and junior Christina Hopkins (Edison, NJ / Edison).

The 49ers would then put another unearded run on the board in the bottom of the innings before ending the scoring with a run in the third.

The bats went quite for Wagner after the second as the team managed just two base runners the rest of the game, including an Iwicki single in the fourth.

Junior Morgan Miller (Las Vegas, NV / Silverado) took the loss with four unearned runs on eight hits in six innings.
