Since 1946, Bob Peirano has been associated with Wagner College where he participated as a member of the baseball team as an undergrad. While a player for the Green and White Peirano was a three-year starter in the outfield, batting over .300 in each of his final two season. Upon his graduation in 1950, he went on to become the assistant baseball coach for the 1951 and 1952 seasons. Peirano continued his association with the institution as he was elected President of the Wagner College Touchdown Club in 1960 and 1961, followed by a two-year stint as Vice President. He was the volunteer Head Golf Coach for 12 years (1988 to 2000) where under his direction, the golfers went on to claim the ECAC Championship in 1995. Since 1990, Peirano has been the Chairman of the Sal Alberti Golf Classic, that has raised close to $750,000 for the Wagner College Athletics Endowment Fund. Proud members of the Inner Circle, he and his wife Muriel remain dedicated supporters of Seahawk Athletics.
