Rich Negrin, Esquire was a standout offensive tackle for the great Wagner teams of the 1980s, as the Seahawks went an impressive 37-9 record during his four years. Negrin served as team captain in each of his final two seasons while helping the Green & White pace the nation in total offense and rushing. As a senior, he turned in arguably the finest year ever by a Wagner offensive lineman, leading the Seahawks to the 1987 National Championship and a 13-1 record. As a result, Negrin earned

Football News and
Pizza Hut All-American accolades while earning his third-straight ECAC All-Metro honor. The top vote getter for the
Pizza Hut All-American squad, he was described by the
AP as “The rock around which Wagner College’s offensive line was anchored.” To this date Negrin is the only Seahawk lineman to earn First Team All-American honors in back-to-back years. Following graduation, he signed professional contracts with the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. Since hanging up his cleats, Negrin has been extremely successful and currently serves as the Deputy Mayor of Coordination & Administration and as the Managing Director of the City of Philadelphia. Previously, he served as vice president and general counsel of Aramark Healthcare and worked for Morgan, Lewis & Bockius Law Offices after getting his start as a Philadelphia Assistant District Attorney. A former president of the Hispanic Bar Association, he and his wife Karen-McRory Negrin are the proud parents of Rachel, Connor, the late Abigail and Mariel.
