Peter Boatti (1966-1968) was a three-year varsity starter for the Green & White football squad who was slated to start his career as a safety, but was moved to quarterback early in his first season. In his second year, Boatti led the Seahawks to their last undefeated season, posting a perfect 9-0 record. In one of the tougher games on the 1967 schedule, Boatti ran for two touchdowns and passed for another in Wagner's 23-7 win over Springfield.
He capped off the special season leading the Green & White to a 13-0 victory at Upsala. Known best for his option play abilities not only running the football, but blocking for other runners, coach Bob Hicks felt that Boatti was the only indispensable player on the 1967 squad. Despite suffering an injury in 1968 that limited his playing time, Boatti served as one of the team captains.
