Mary Gormley
(19777-1981) was one of the first student-athletes that put the Wagner Women’s Basketball program on the map. She graduated as the all-time leader in scoring (1,734 points) (currently 2nd) and rebounds (1,297) and still holds the highest averages for scoring (19.7 ppg) and highest rebounding (14.8 rpg) She also ranks among the all-time leaders with 699 field goals, 1,468 attempts, 339 free throws and 471 free throw attempts.
 
Additionally, she has two of the top four single-season scoring totals and her 23.8 ppg averages in 1979-1980 and 1980-1981 are the two-best totals in school history. On the glass, she also has two of the top five single-season totals and her averages of 16.2 rpg in 1978-1979 and 15.5 rpg in 1979-1980 are the two-best marks in school history.
