Upon graduation, Rapp worked his way up to Director of Athletics and Physical Education at Staten Island Academy and is the longest tenured faculty member in school history, currently serving as Emeritus Director. He also served as the Academy's varsity baseball coach and varsity soccer coach for over 30 years.
