John DiMaggio (1962-1965) played three years of basketball at Wagner scoring 1,088 points and was a versatile player able to play guard or forward. He capped his career by averaging 18.5 points per game and 12.5 rebounds per game in leading the Green & White to a 14-12 record as a senior in 1964-1965.
He capped his final campaign by earning first-team Tri-State Basketball League and All-Met Basketball in the college division. Additionally he was named Team MVP and honored as Wagner's Most Outstanding College Athlete and was coached by Wagner Hall of Fame coach Herb Sutter and Chester Sellito. Also during his college career, he played on the Seahawk golf team, finishing his senior year with a record of 10-4.
