Jennifer Albrizio (1982-1985) started and played softball for at Wagner College for four years. In her junior and senior years, she led the Seahawks to a combined record of 22-17, including a 14-6 mark her junior year. The MVP of the 1985 team, she was one of the top hitters on the team throughout her career. A Staten Island native and graduate of St. Joseph By The Sea High School, she possessed excellent speed on the bases and was a very athletic player.

She also had a penchant for hitting triples and, despite playing just an average of 17 games per season, she still ranks third in Wagner history in triples (13). Defensively, Albrizio made the tough plays look easy on an infield that didn’t have true hops. Sue Parler coached her during her first two seasons at Wagner before moving on to become the head coach at Seton Hall. Parler described Albrizio as “First among equals. Not only was she a clean-fielding shortstop, but it came to be an expectation for her to hit a triple.”
