J. Walter Mickey Sullivan helped transfort a stagnant Wagner football program into a dominant one. Sullivan guided the 1960 team to a 9-0 record and the first undefeated season in school history. Prior to his arrival at Grymes Hill, the Seahawks owned a 56-106-1 record. During Sullivan’s five year career Wagner posted a 26-16 record which made Sullivan the first Green & White coach with a winning record. Sullivan was also responsible for recruiting the seniors on the undefeated 1964 team. The late Sullivan and his wife had three children.
