Harold Brantley (1980-1983) was one of the top all-around performers on the diamond in Wagner. A three-year Met Conference All-Star (1981, 1982, 1983), he was also the winner of the Keith Speroni Memorial Award. At the time of his graduation, this outfielder ranked number one in Seahawk history with 138 base hits and batting average.
He still remains in the Wagner Top-20, despite competing in an era when teams played a fraction of the number of games played by collegiate teams today. Uncommonly productive and consistent, he was a career .338 hitter, batting .356 as a freshman, .333 as a sophomore. .350 during his junior year before batting .321 average as a senior in 1983. Upon his graduation, he served as an assistant baseball coach at Wagner from 1983-85.
