Florence Grunow-Gode (1935-1938) played basketball during an era quite different than today. Three offensive players played half court, while three defensive players played on the half court. The Grunow-Gode was the center on the team coached by Herb Sutter and was was also a member of the fencing team, a sport long-forgotten in Wagner athletics. She was also active in the college community, participating in various student government roles.
