Exceptional in every facet of the game, Bobby Hopson (1990-1994) scored 1,568 career points to rank fifth all-time at Wagner at the time of his graduation. In addition to his scoring prowess, Hopson was also regarded as a tremendous defensive player and rebounder.
 
The 6-0 guard was a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) All-Newcomer team as a freshman, earned First-Team All-NEC honors as a sophomore and junior and was a second-team All-NEC selection as a senior in 1993-1994. The Seahawks’ MVP as a junior, the Bridgehampton, NY native was also a member of the NEC All-Tournament team in each of his final two seasons. After his final campaign, Hopson was named to the Metropolitan Writers Association Second-Team. With a career scoring average of 16.3 ppg., he currently holds spots in the top 10 in no less than nine major career statistical categories. Perhaps his finest performance was a 32-point outing in a pulsating 65-64 NEC title game defeat to Rider that thrilled a nation-wide audience on ESPN.
