  • Induction
    2003
  • Sport(s)
    Basketball, Baseball
Bill Wolfe joins former teammates Ray Hodge, Oliver Featherstone, Arnold Obey and Russell Selger in the Hall of Fame due to his outstanding athletic and leadership skills while helping the Green & White to a 58-27 record. As a team co-captain, he played the point where his terrific ball handling skills helped the team on offense while also being known as a great defender. He held the school record for assists, while still averaging double figures in scoring. Wolfe was just as effective a leader on the baseball diamond where he was again the team co-captain. He could usually be found batting in the heart of the order and was a great clutch hitter. Wolfe’s basketball quickness was a perfect fit as a middle infielder. He has continued his athletic endeavors to become a premier racquetball player and was the 1991 Senior World Champion. A native Staten Islander, Bill resides with his wife Julie Elsaieh, who also graduated from Wagner.
