Jacksonville, FL –Wagner College Football fans tuning into tonight's preseason game between the World Champion New York Giants and the Jacksonville Jaguars (7:30 pm on channel 9 locally) will have the added bonus of being on the look-out for a pair of Jacksonville Jaguar rookie free agents from Wagner in
Julian Stanford and
Jeremiah Brown.
Instead of wearing his customary uniform number seven that he wore at Wagner, the 6-1, 230-pound Bloomfield, CT native now wears number 57 for the teal-clad Jaguars. Throughout training camp, Stanford, a linebacker who
signed a free agent contract in April, has consistently caught the
attention of the Jacksonville coaching staff with his athleticism, instincts and ability to move in space.
While Stanford has gotten his share of
media attention with his attention-grabbing plays, Brown has also been the focus of
several media stories since inking his free agent contract in May. The
5-10, 198-pound Brown, who wears number 30 and plays safety, suffered a concussion in practice on August 2 yet he is not listed on the Jaguars' injury report for tonight's game.
The official websites of the
Jacksonville Jaguars and the
New York Giants contain information on how to view tonight's game online.
A third member of the Seahawks' 2012 team, defensive end
Quintin Anderson, is
a free agent signee of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
